Innovative Educator - Curriculum Designer - School Culture Coach

I have just completed a decade of being an innovative global educator. 

Early in my teaching career, I infused skill attainment and outside-of-the-box pedagogy to reach struggling learners. I connected our school globally through events, guest speakers, and international trips. This work led to me winning Washington Post Teacher of the Year, and a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction. 

Seven years ago, I started the journey of teaching and learning at THINK Global School. A world-traveling project and place-based learning school that has no brick and mortar location. Teaching global studies and social and cultural anthropology with endless options was a dream come true. My students and I thrived as we experienced and interacted with local people, culture, and history. While on my journey I completed my M.Ed in Curriculum Design with a concentration in Digital Teaching and Learning.  

We made the innovative decision to create the Changemaker Curriculum of THINK Global School without the restraints of the International Baccalaureate program. The Changemaker Curriculum is an individualized, authentic, and holistic curriculum that builds students through firsthand experience in 12 countries. 

I currently work for THINK Global School and with Global Online Academy, an online competency-based learning school, while also working on other projects and speaking engagements.
